How does it affect us?

Probably, I know I watch too much. It's not affecting me negatively though because I keep my priorities in order and don't let negativity or media images influence me.

I don't. I watch the news in the morning "local"
Eastenders on sunday nights for an hour and then BBC or CNN news for about an hour a night. Other then that I read. I do some nights watch a movie and most the time fall asleep during it I have never been a big TV watcher. BUT the people I live with keep the TV on 24/7 and they HAVE to watch this or that show every night. Not all us in the USA watch alot of TV.

Not just tv, but all forms of media. As for other cultures, they'll have to get onboard the band wagon if they want to keep up with America and it's seemingly infinte resources when it comes to our media's sponsor's financial investments. As for how it affects us, look around on the internet and the computer you're using. There are all kinds of videos, advertisements, pop up ads, billboards, spam, etc. Not to mention plugs and trailers for tv shows and sitcoms.

we don't all watch to much, but many do. there's other plagues that waste the free time of the free too ya know, like the internet, video games, and that evil Oprah. oh wait thats tv, oh well, beware the oprah.
