you can do a tune up and that will help it is not the fuel pump you should change the fuel filter but this is normal for the camaro as the engine gets more wear on it everything inside turns slower and will crank longer before it fires it is not your coil or it would break down and miss when you drive it give it a good tune up and pour in some engine treatment and you will be good you dont need to take it to a shop and spend money because they are not going to find anything wrong

let me get this straight you are turning the key back and forth 3or4 times or are you turning the engine over 3or4 times before it will start? If you are having trouble trying to get it to start with it turning over then you may need to do a tune up and on that car it only consists of spark plugs and wires and cap and rotor button, and then you can check to see if you have enough spark from your coil being 11 years old it may need a coil.. If your having trouble with the ignition switch not wanting to start your car then the problem could be with the security system that is in the car and that is a system that is in the delco re-me radio it is called the pass key system and if that starts to mess up then it will cut out the starter and when you try turning the key it just goes click for 3lr4 times and then starts

You know I could lay out a list of what it could be but it would be so easier if you just took it to a shop so someone could diag it to determine if it's electrical, fuel or etc causing the problem.

Please take the vehicle to a shop and pay the money for a diag so you don't waste money listing to everyone on here about replacing this or that, at least you would know the problem and if it's something you could do yourself their ya go.

Good luck!

May be the fuel pump not holding a prime and when you turn over the engine it takes that many times for the prime to get to injectors. I know you didn't want to hear that, but that's what it sounds like.

certain it is going to more beneficial healthful, yet you've to get diverse motor mounts i have self assurance. you also ought to run into clearance issues even as it includes the hood hitting the air clear out element. it wont be that top priced to regulate that engine in, like suggested before you ought to bypass twin swifter ls1 LOL, yet that ought to require even more beneficial funds, or perhaps more beneficial tuning to get all of it dialed in. yet you ought to replace in an ls1 and make more beneficial hp. no matter if the problem then is the wiring which will be a discomfort in the neck, id say replace in the 454 and get an excellent carb setup, fairly in case you've already got the engine in basic terms sitting round.

Fuel filter, if not, maybe the pump is on its way out. also, check the pressure regulator.

Could be your spark plugs. Honestly, it starts. I wouldn't worry too much. Old cars have character. (My old Buick regularly takes two or three tries.)
