Okay, I don't consider myself a liberal, but two things:
1. There is a difference between hating your country and hating your government. Do you think that the Iraqi people who opposed Saddam Hussein hated their country while he was in power?
2. You don't just pack up and leave if you don't like the direction your country is headed. What kind of chickensh** solution is that? No, you stay and try to improve the situation. You hold to your beliefs. You try and make your country better for your children. It's called integrity and character, and honestly I see little of it anywhere (right or left).

Liberals apparently love this country and what it actually stands for much more than you. They love it so much they expect it to be better, stronger, more moral, more ethical and more of an example of freedom than you do. As for calipinkgirl, well, we were all 9 years old once....

Because it is still a democracy (for the time being, at least) and with their vote, they hope that they can steer it in the correct direction and away from neglect of the Constitution and imperialistic wars over petrol.

I know! It;s so funny that they complain about how bad it is here! At least we're pretty much allowed to believe whatever we want and are not tortured or starving. It's also funny how people make a big stink about it using another freedom... freedom of speech! They need to get over it!

The only other countries that would have the liberals is France, already a cesspool of socialistic failure, and the Zimbabwe/Congo area, a communist failure.
Actually, they don't hate the USA, they just hate the fact that it remains the best country in the world.... they only one that will put up with their leftist crap... even France would draw the line I think.
