I was wondering why a princess named Fawzia Latifa is now called a prince? There must be calling her that for some reason.
Is it because the King of Egypt wanted an heir not an heiress?

I've seen "Princess Fawzia Latifa" come up in Google so it may be a (Wikipedia) typo.

Otherwise, it may be tradition to address all royal heirs by masculine titles.

I highly recommend visiting your local library for more information.  You can get your library card for free and have access to books, magazines, DVDs, databases, educational workshops and more.

egypt isn't a kingdom, they have a president who thinks he's a king lol. he's been president for ages and he wants his son to take over when he dies. and whoever tries to run for president, he finds a way to put him in jail. they have a dictator i should say. ya and he wears make up and dies his hair all the time, the guy is 80 and has pitch black hair, very scary
