Although not exactly a remake, it steals it's story from an older movie called Fer de Lance. It had poisonous snakes on a submarine and was a better movie.

No, it's a "B" movie, which is supposed to have a really cheesy. overblown theme. Like "8 Legged Freaks." Basically, it's a popcorn movie with no real value, just bubble gum entertainment. Love B movies!

Yes! You're right! The earlier version, many years ago, was "Bugs on a Boat." And before that, there was one called "Ants on the Ark."
