No it's not racist, it's true. The ghetto blacks do and 99.9% of blacks in the U.S are ghetto freaks!

I think you have some hateing yur on race issues. And that 99.9% figure is extremly incorrect. I speak proper..but when I want 2 I relax my speak and just let losse. If someone doesn't talk the same as u it doesn't mean they are less than u or that they are not smart...they're just diffrent.

Oh my God..every.single.reply to this question uses horrific grammar and spelling - bad English. Has our country all become retarded???
"Yur"
"Speak proper"
"Vernunclear" (it s Vernacular)
"Cindy rice"
Sheesh!
Here are the answers - they talk that way because that s the way they were raised by their family. This goes all the way back to the slave days - slaves from Africa were taught just enough English to do their work. They filled in the gaps in the language on their own, and badly. This form of English complete with habitual bad syntax and subject/verb agreement was then taught to their children, their children s children, etc. all the way to today, 10-15 generations later. You would think with all the stigma attached today to slavery, they would want to distance themselves from that way of speaking, but no...
Secondly, though equal rights have been legislated for the last 4 generations, many black families do not get a good primary education. They live in dificult neighborhoods with poor schools, and the education they receive is subparagraph.
Lastly, and most controversially, the African genome or "black gene pool" has characteristics that unfortunately leave them less adept at formalized education. For thousands of generations, Africans lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle due to the natural resources of their native continent. Mental characteristics and traits that aided that type of cultural existence - spontaneity, improvisation, transiance, physically strong, etc - do NOT lend themselves to a structured educational system. Or, a structured legal system for that matter. The European agricultural societies are much more adept at a systematic learning system, simply due to generations of breeding for those traits (same as Africans, but for their traits listed above). Also, Hunter gatherers don t have as much need for a detailed language system, as compared to an agricultural society, and so language centers in their brains are not as developed.
All of this leads to a culture of very bad language skills and poor communication (by western European standards).
Why is it controversial? Because today s bleeding liberal knee-jerk society has been screaming for the last 60 years that WE RE ALL THE SAME; WE RE ALL.EXACTLY.THE.SAME. Which, is patently false. They have carried the idea of "equal rights" to its hyper extreme and are insisting that there s no difference between races, men and women, etc.
However, instead of moving our society forward, we have begun to see the ill affects of not being willing to recognize the differences in race Nd gender, and work towards a REAL solution, rather than a false and broken one.

Not all of them do.
The ones that do... use slang, and some use street talk. it is like a sub-language.
Not all teens use good language skills either.
You might as well say that all southeners speak bad english too, but be advised it's called "redneck" and yes, it's a language all it's own too!

No, that is not bad english.
Their english is called African American Vernuclear English (not sure about the spelling), and it is a distinct form of English. Their English is somewhat different from White English because of political reasons.

that is a stereo type, instead of asking why do black ppl talk in bad english u should have just said why do ppl in general because not all black ppl talk in a bad english. accept it or not but that was an racist comment.
