I really want to get a fairly small tattoo of my son's name but really dont want it to look too kitsch and cheap; where do you think looks best and in what style? Thanks for any ideas........

i think the best place is on the underside or your wrist its discrete but can be seen if u want it to be. also on th back of your neck or your back. i think its rele nice when someone gets a tatto that means somethin to them! like my frend whos best frend dies of cancer she got a tatoo to comemorate her and i that thats rele nice!!!

Any tattoo of your son's name will look kitsch and cheap. Why would you want that? Wouldn't that embarass him?

The inside of your wrist,
I have a tattoo on the inside of my wrist, it's a black tribal design which I can show off or hide and I love it. Try drawing it with black pen first and live with it for a day, if it annoys you then you know its not on the right area.

over your heart, i got a tat on my lower back its a sun which stands for son and then my boys names are written inside everyone who has seen it thinks its excellent, and having it on your chest will mean you will always have him close to your heart. Its a man tattoo with a female touch!!!!

how about on your ankle, the inside? in just simple script writing would be nice if not too large. i got a little flower on my right foot years ago and still love it but originally wanted it on my inside ankle (the tattooist said it would hurt too much & as it was my first (and now only) tattoo he wouldn't do it there). you may be luckier...

on your shoulder . it will look nice. my husband has a wire tattoo around his shoulder and has my name and our two boys name above it. but it kinda of looks like it was made to go together. it will look awsome. i hoped i helped

I know a guy that got his sons name on his ankel and let his sone choose the design and color and stuff...to a point...

On your shoulder or forearm. And I know someone who got his daughters' names translated into Chinese and tattooed them on his forearm, so that was pretty cool.
