My ipod has been working fine until today and just suddenly I can't switch it off, any suggestions?

Nothings wrong with it. just pause your music and let it sit for 2 minutes. happens to me all the time.

try resetting it by holding down the center + menu buttons
or try reformatting it
or go to apple.com and get it serviced
or you can just pause it and leave it to turn off by it self lol

that has happened 2 me before to n my uncle sayed to hold down the menu and da middle button to rebot it
