I got some iron fillings out of the sand in my yard, but there are all kinds of little rocks and some sand that keep sticking to my magnet, how do I seperate the iron from all that junk?

They might be sticking because they are wet/moist. If that's the case, try leaving it out for a day or two to dry, then try to separate the iron with the magnet again.

the sand that sticks to ur magnet could be iron with a type of silacon plating or put the sand and iron on a piece of paper and put the magnet underneath the paper and make the iron stick to that area of the paper and tilt the paper so the sand goes off but the iron sticks to the area where the magnet is.

First screen out the size of particles you don't want. Many minerals are magnetic. If you want only the strongly magnetic minerals cover your magnet with paper, spread your material evenly, and move the magnet just far enough above the material to attract the most magnetic particles.

An easier way is to find a lab with a magnetic separator. It will only handle small volumes, but it will do a great job. You can control the current on the electromagnet and each fraction vibrates down a separate chute into its own container. lol finding a lab with one of these though.
