If they don't win a game,
but beat the panties off of the weak k-y jelly filled backbone michigan wolf-latrines, all will be well in the world.
Since Tressel OWNS....FREAKING OWNS Lloyd Carr,
winning 4 of 5 against him,
and kicking their butts up there in their wee little house last year...sending them home whining like punk babies,
and this one is in Ohio Stadium, where real football players play,
I don't see the meeeechiganders doing anything but LOSING again.
Trailer Park Trash Wolverines.

How many times has Ohio State beat Michigan the last 30 years!?! Just 11 times...
Michigan all time versus Ohio State: 57-39-6
Odd, though. Ohio State is in a larger state (population wise) and is the only major university in the state (Michigan has two, the University of Michigan and Michigan State University). In other words, the state of Michigan has fewer people, and Michigan and Michigan State has to share top in-state talent. The state of Ohio has more people and Ohio State has to share top in-state talent with no one. Why isn't Ohio State better than they are? Given these facts, you would think OSU would be able to dominate Michigan and Michigan State year in and year out. But, sadly, they don't.
In fact, Ohio is the seventh largest state and only has one major university (in football)! California has several major universities (i.e. USC, UCLA, California...). Florida has several (i.e. UF, FSU, Miami...). Texas has a few (i.e. Texas, Texas A&M...). Illinois has a couple (i.e. Illinois, Northwestern...). Pennsylvania has a couple (i.e. Penn State, Pitt...). Ohio has just one!!!
So, should they win the NC this year? Yes, they should win the NC every year, based on the facts I outlined above. But they DON'T. Why?
By the way, other Michigan highlights include:
* The most total wins in college football history (849)
* The highest all-time winning percentage (.74421)
* The highest NCAA home attendance every year but one since 1974
* The longest current streak of having over 100,000 at a home game (193 consecutive games)
* The longest current bowl game streak (31)
* The longest current streak of non-losing seasons (38)
* The current longest number of games in Division 1-A since last being shutout (273 games)
* The most televised school in college football history (356 televised games)
* The largest NCAA crowd to ever attend a football game: 112,118 on November 22, 2003, at Michigan Stadium
* The largest delta (points for minus points against) in college football history
* The most conference football championships (42)
* The most undefeated seasons in Division 1-A football (25)
* The highest all-time strength of schedule rating in college football
* The longest time since playing a (non WWII-era) non-Division-1A opponent (74 years)
* The most winning seasons (109)
* One of only two schools with a winning record against every Division 1-A conference, including independent schools such as Notre Dame
* The number one sports rivalry: Michigan versus Ohio State, according to ESPN's "Top 10 Greatest Sports Rivalries"
* The best helmet in football, according to ESPN's "End of Century" Special
* The best uniform in sports, according to ESPN2's 64 Team Bracket Results

Equal to any of the toughest September schedules on the planet.
Northern Illinois with Running Back Garret Wolfe
Following the next week with a very VERY good Texas squad on the road At Night,.....yeeeikes.
The next week coming home to Ex-OSU Def. Co-ord. Mark Dantonios' Cincy Bearcats, an in state rival,
followed by Penn State at home!
But the biggest baddest toughest test comes the last weekend in September going To Iowa, and playing ANOTHER Night Game in Iowa City.
Top this off with the encumberance of having to build a new Defense
with only 2 Starters returning,
(losing 3 first round draft picks from that defense to the NFL....)
Face it Buck Fans, if we (yes, dyed in the wool buckeye fan here) if we get through september unscathed,
the rest of the schedule is relatively easy,
and we get Michigan at our place (we do have LLLLoyds number)
I do NOT see us getting through September unbeaten.
Too tough with a new defense.
HOWEVER, Our OFFENSE is equal to any in the nation, and will have to carry that defense during those first 3 games or so
until they start playing as a Unit.
If we get by Texas, and PSU, don't get surprised by the lesser-thans....then we can go to Iowa City with a rock solid offense and a proud defense....we stand a decent chance of knocking off the Hawkeyes.
Ferentz is a tough good coach though, and is going to come at us with both barrels.
I LOVE BEING A BUCKEYE FAN!
We back down from no one.
IF we win the national championship this year...
it will take one of the most prolific campaigns in college football history to do it,
but darn will it be a joyous celebration!

GO BUCKS!

What were you smoking when you posted this? First of all, they have to play Texas in week 2 and that will be a loss. Then they have to play Michigan the last week and everyone knows that will be your second loss. 10-2 is not really a record for a national champion. Besides, Ohio States sucks!!! GO BLUE!!!

No. Preseason rankings are a waste of time and carry no reflection on the true state of how good or not a team is. I don't believe Ohio State deserves it's #1 ranking. And you'll see why after the season starts.

They will have to win early in the season against a strong Texas team. But they could be playing for the title in January. They definitely have a strong team this year even with the depletion of their linebacker corps.

Maybe if there isn't more than one undefeated team or maybe the computers will get a virus, then Prairie View A&M or Temple will be champions. Who cares unless it is a playoff?

Of course they will. If they don't I hope Notre Dame doesn't win a game.
