I want to delete the search history from the Yahoo web page. I can do it easily from the tool bar.?

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

However, if you wish to delete search history saved by the browser and auto-filled when you type on the yahoo website, here is the solution:

To clear your history from Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options."
3. Click the "General" tab.
4. Click the "Clear History" button. To completely disable the history function, set "Days to keep pages in history" to zero.

To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "History."
3. Click on "Clear." To completely disable the history function, set "Remember visited pages for the last X days" to zero ("0").
4. Click "OK" to exit.

Well it depends if you use Internet Explorer or if you use Mozilla Firefox.

Internet Explorer: Click on tools stroll down to Internet options, then click on the Clear History button. Then press OK.

Mozilla Firefox: Click on tools stroll down to options, then privacy and click the Clear All button. Then when that's done click OK. And everything will be blank including your resent websites you went to and you saved information along with your history and cookies.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

Click tools, Internet options, clear history. Although it can't be done when the browser is open. So make sure the browser is closed. Right click on the icon of your Internet browser, click Internet options and then clear history.
