Global warming wouldn't really be so severe, food for all, water for all. INSTEAD the stupid governments of every country lack this and NEED to put it forward, do we really want every country ending up as populated as China or worse and virtually no food to go around?

Interestingly enough, there are varying opinions on whether or not the world is over-populated. You may be interested in these sites. Best of luck.

Malthus has been proven wrong many times before. Humans have developed a great skill at finding new resources and extracting more food from earth as the population grows. Who would have thought a generation ago (or less) that China would be a food EXPORTER!

Same for energy, wind and solar will happen when the economic time is right.

We live in a free society, where people are free to make their own decisions and their own mistakes. Once the government begins population control, which freedom will we loose next?Think about the alternative. Would you want to live in a society where the government controlled your actions?

No couple should create more than one child for the next 200 years or so. Bring things back to a manageable level. No more sperm banks, surrogate mothers or fertility drugs. If you can't have children you could only adopt from the ones already out there.

It would be a wonderful idea but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. We are not desperate enough yet. Might not be until it is too late. I find it funny though, someone above me said we should sterilize those who aborted babies...isn't that esentially what population control is...killing people that WOULD have existed?

Well theres a loaded question, however needed but, its begs a lot of other questions
Who decides?
On what criteria?
Based on what values?
Realistically perhaps there are too many people on this small planet...but who decides who stays and who leaves.....that in and of itself is a very moral question

In america, ever since birth control and abortion were modernized and accessible, there is virtually an entire generation of people missing....generations are getting longer, families are smaller and better cared for. Thank women's rights for that, and the next time those rights are under attack, lend us a hand, would ya? Thanks.

There should be.

Anyone on welfare, anyone who has killed an unborn child, and anyone caught illegally in the US -- all should be sterilized. That'll cut down on population, and stop a lot of other problems.
