well evry time i ask him to do something with me he says hes got to rake his yard or something like that but i go past his house and hes not here what should i do

Talk to him. Ask him. However, if he's avoiding to spend time with you - for what ever reasons - you're probably better off without him.

Don't pay any attention to him anymore. If he ever approaches you and wants to hang out with you tell him.
