It depends, how far away from home you are and if you are good at being independant or if you need more guidance. Maturity counts for a lot. The more mature you are the better. But, take it from me...stick with it...your education is so important. Don't get caught up in crazy college stuff, work hard, it will ALL be worth it!

Maybe a few weeks. Are you talking in terms of being homesick? That will usually go away once you establish a routine. If you are talking about the coursework - that should also seem a bit more manageable also when you establish a routine. Good luck and have a blast!!

Seriously -- it depends on the person. It took me about 15 minutes. I loved being away from home and on my own. I loved the idea of trying something new. I loved not being ni High School.

You will, too. Maybe in another 15 minutes.

how long does it take you to make friends, or even a friend?...there's your answer!

it's just like high school, middle school, etc. your just on your own in a bigger environment. but trust me, once you adjust it will be one of the most amazing experiences of your life!
