The sound quality is determined by 2 things:
* the mp3 itself (128 kbit/s is for filler tracks; use 192 or even 256 for anything you want to enjoy)
* the quality of your headphones. If you don't mind looking like an idiot, get a big ol' pair of earmuf style cans. If money is no object, get Grado for the best bass (dance/ pop) or Senheiser for the best high notes (jazz/ classical). I personally use a pair of Grado S60's.

I dont think there is anything that you can do (besides buying a better one) to make the sound quality on your current mp3 player sound better. I dont think better headphones will help.

it could be the songs them selfs use the equalizer to make then louder and clearer, get the ipod head phones or Sony not coby, or maybe the mp3 just sucks and that's what you get trying to get the cheapest one

better headfones is the only thing you can do.

The hardware isn't replaceable and if you try you'll end up with a broken mp3 player. try to enjoy it until you can get a better one.
