was at city of manchester stadium the other night and whilst in the club shop looking thru a book bout maine road there was a thing bout the invisible man or something like it "we're not realy here or something" i then saw a banner in the stadium which read "just like the invisible man we're not realy here. explain.

I believe this goes back several years to an away match against Milwall. The police banned Man City's large away support from attending (because of their fears about the behaviour of Milwall supporters). Many City fans managed to get into the ground anyway and sang the following song:

"We are not, we're not really here,
We are not, we're not really here,
Just like a fan of the invisible man,
We're not really here."

Lol. Didn't know Pompey had fans! City definitely have fans, but they come from Manchester, unlike the Reds who are supported by people other than Mancunians.

In answer to your question, though, I have absolutely no idea.
