do not unless the engine is misfiring. Just removing plugs that have been a long time can be a problem first the plug wire will crumble in your hand or the end will fall off. Next your socket won't hold on to the plug and new one will fall out breaking on the floor AND last but not least you go to turn the plug and it breaks off in the Cly. head. Go at it like this! I have 6 or 8 new plugs a new set of plug wires distributor cap and distributor rotor and a good spark plug socket and flex head ratchet and short extension the plugs are going to come out fine, or I walk to work next week!

first of all you we have to know what year the Cherokee is because the new ones don't have the typical spark plug wires that most cars have and they are a little harder to get out but you shouldn't ever have to replace them, and i am not sure with the jeep but in some cases you have to remove the fuel rail to get the sparkplug boot out, y ou have to look right near the fuel rail and you will see two little wires and they go to a rubber boot and you have to pry that rubberboot up and out and then there is a long spring that connects the boot to the spark plug and then take the plug out, but like i said it depends on which year and which motor you have to give more information to get accurate response.

Easy to do get a Flex head ratchet, extension, and sparkplug socket. Be care not to pull the ends off the wires give them a twist if you don' t have a wire puller. Get Boush platium plugs and you want have to gap them. Take your time you will save money and get the job done perfect!
