Today I've been feeling achy really low on my stomach. The baby seems to be low too. When he moves or when I use my heart dopler he's always still really low like around the hairline???? This is my first pregnancy by the way, and not all those "great" books answer these questions!!! Thanks!

If i am not mistake that is normal. Eveytime i go to the doc, that is where they find him. I guess he just likes that spot. If you think that something is wrong, then call your doc

Achy like menstral cramps? I remember feeling that sometimes. My daughter was really low and my son was high. I say talk to your Dr about it at your next appointment. If there is a change however such as severe pain, spotting, or you can't feel any movement go to emergency right away. Everyone needs to keep in mind, pregnancy is a change to your body. You don't need to freak out over every little thing, you will know when somethings wrong. Try not to worry, and congrats!

It's normal for some women to carry the baby low. Don't be too concerned about it unless you have a really bad pain or you start spotting. When I was prego with both my kids, I carried low and once they started picking up some weight, it got really uncomfortable but there was nothing wrong. If you are still concerned call you doctor and tell him the situation.

The achy feeling is your body having brackston-hicks contractions, and these will get worse closer to delivery. some women dont feel them at all, but some women do. these contractions are your body practice for labor later on. try some tylenol, and a warm bath. the 'pressure' of the baby low in your hips may be normal for you. talk to your doctor. as the others have said if you start spotting, feel a warm gush of fluids or start have bad pain in your lower belly go to the er. also can try laying down on your left side and see if that helps.

Some babies just like to carry low. Chances are you're feeling pelvic pressure. This is normal.

You could always post this on the Body Map of Discomfort on

But - chances are it might already be there! Check out the website, see what other women are feeling who are the same week in pregnancy as you. And the pictures are amazing - not to mention the fact that they have real ultrasound clips!

babies can be and will be anywhere and everywhere in your uterus. If you get the heart beat near your hairline maybe that is where his back is. For that you would need your doctor to do an ultrasound because that position can cause issues closer to the due date. But remember they move more later and will adjust. Don't worry too much.

Pretty normal, Im 18wks along with my 3rd child and whenever they used the baby doppler at my doctor visits, then go around the hairline to get the heartbeat. If there was any problems with that, they would have told me already. Your fine

That's where I carry. They always check for the heart beat really low. So for me that would be normal. If it isn't normal for you than get checked out.

I found a link for you that shows your baby's position at 5 months.

Your pregnancy appears to be perfectly normal. Don't fret.

well, the "great" pregnancy book that I always recommend does have your question in there but since you don't want to know about it I guess you'll have to leave you answer up to all of these doctors on Yahoo Answers.
