And you are very innocent? Call up the Police, by all means. Are you very sure about the correctness of your own legal position? And what's the legal position of the, allegedly offensive, neighbor? What about the sister, who visits your house? Keep, all the legally acceptable evidence, preferably documented, else you may suddenly find things not going the way, that you think to be the truth. Even the sister, may abandon you and change her statements, unless it is recorded as well-documented evidence.

Yes. That is illegal. It's called breaking and entering, or at the very least it's home invasion. The difficulty is proving it after the fact. Should you call the police. Think the pro's and cons through. Will it affect y ou freindship with the girl. Are there possible reprocussions for doing it. Would he lash out if you did. Ther's always the possibility of a restraining order, but htose cost money. Good luck

Need to know more. Was his sister there and was supposed to be home? How old is the sister? Did Mom send him to get her?
It was wrong and rude though. This could be a lesson for you to keep doors locked day and night. Home invasion is on the rise all over the country. This could have been anyone.

At most you could get him for tresspassing. That is if you are lucky. If he was forceful or anything then maybe. If he only barged in and told her to get home, then really not much can be done. Just lock the door and put a no Tresspass sign up. Sorry

the authorities are more in the position to answer your question but we were thought by our parents to respect other people's properties and for just barging into someone's house is disrespectful. from now on, make sure that your front door is always locked for your own safety as well.

Technically you could report him, but it seems more a case of downright rudeness to me. I assume your door was unlocked so breaking and entering is hard to prove. I would ask your friend to speak to him and ask that he knocks next time. If he continues to be an a88hole about it, tell him yourself.

I assume that if he is collecting his sister that you live with your parents. If you feel awkward about approaching the issue this way, ask you parents to speak to him instead. He may listen to grown-ups more than yourselves.

Good luck

Yes, it should be illegal. If he thought his sister was in your home, he should have either asked your permission to come in or called the police to come and assist in getting his sister. That is considered breaking an entering.

I would first confront the neighbor to save face and let them know you don't appreciate them barge'n in like that invadeing your personal space, and that you don't do it to them out of respect of their privacy. And if it continues to be a problem, then yeah I'd call the local autorities, because that is breaking an entering, and that is illegal

Any time a person enters your home without your consent it is illegal.

I would just let him know that you find what he did unacceptable, this time

Also make sure he understands that if it happens again, you will call the police.

that's breaking and entering. you can call the cops, and if they don't arrest, tell them, "Then I'd like to make a citizens arrest for him disturbing my peace." And they have to take him to jail by law. Happened to a neighbor of mine. If you really want to piss him off, tell the police he's high and has a knife. or... just let it go, and lock your doors next time.
