Wickerman is a poorly done remake of a 1973 classic. It's an abomination to the original, which is a portrayal of pagan customs, and has nothing to do with the timing of Burningman. The new Burningman is an adaptation of old pagan customs.

The majority of the people will not get the connection so I doubt it was an advertising strategy. It has nothing to do with the burning man festival anyway.

All I know is that the 1st "Wicker Man" really stunk (in my opinion); With Nick Cage, it has to be better then the original!

Or is it the other way around?

Another thing you might find interesting is that "Snakes on a Train" is at Blockbuster.
