Alot of people are telling you not to eat so much, ignore them. You have to add 200cals to your diet a day per baby. Eat sensibly and if the weight goes on so be it, your body stores fat ready to produce milk, thats how pregnancy goes!
Walking is the safest and best exercise to do (so i was told) along with swimming. Other than that and eating sensibly i'd not do to much more. You dont want to put a strain on yourself as you are still only 18 weeks.
Some people gain a tiny amount of weight, i had a friend who gained 4stone and she didnt change her diet and her baby was 7lb 2oz, some peoples bodies store alot more than others. Its fair to say alot of women over eat, i know i did in the first 4 months and ended up gaining 2 1/2 stone but by the end of the 8th month i actually dropped 1/2 stone (due to eating alot better)
You may find that you've gained 14lb and now the weight gain will slow or even stop for a while now anyway.
Enjoy your pregnancy, eat well walk and swim and dont worry, you're pregnant, you're going to glow, noones gonna be bitching about how big you look as everyone grows when pregnant!

Sounds like you might be eating too much. You've already gained more than the amount that you should gain for your entire pregnancy. "Eating for two" is not really something that anyone needs to do. Talk to your doctor about an exercise program. You can probably start by taking some walks. You should also change your diet and try not to give in to cravings.

everyone is assuming ur stuffing yourself silly!! we all different during pregnancy and i know for a fact that this applies to weight gain also. I have 3 kids and with first i put on loads almost instantly but then levelled out through to the end second i was no different till nearly the end then put on like 4 stone in a week!!!! 3rd was a slow steady gain so as u can see it different each time. If u find u r really hungry snack on lots of fresh fruit and have double vegg at dinner but please don't fret about it u might find as with my first that u hardly put much more on from now on. Congrats on ur baby to be and very best wishes xxxx

Well obviously you should stop eating so much. When they say eating for two they mean add 300 to 500 calories a day.. not two double cheeseburgers each meal. Walking is all the exercise you need during pregnancy as long as you eat right.

Im 18 wks also and gained 16 lbs. With my other 2 children I gained ALOT of weight but have been able to drop it without any help afterwards. Just slow down your eating, is all the advice i can give to you as it has been given to me by my doctor.

Ask your gynecologist for a good diet, (and follow it!) mine gave me one for my second pregnancy, after I had gained way too much with the first one 2 years earlier...
Mainly it's good to eat lots of fruit and veggies, some meat and fish for protein, but don't overdo with sweets.
And go out for nice long walks, they will strengthen your muscles from the waist down, not only will it help you keep in shape, but it will also help prepare you for giving birth! (Try walking at least 1 hour a day either all in 1 time or 2 half hours).

Consult your doctor before starting any sort of exercise plan, not just for your well being, but for your child as well. Also when pregnant you are NOT eating for two, you need an increase in calories yes, but pregnancy is not an excuse to eat like a horse. When you are with your doctor ask him for an approximation of how many calories you need. good luck

Walk every day if you can, drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits and veggies and healthy food. You don't want to try and lose weight while pregnant just try not to gain so fast if you are concerned. You can ask your OB what they think is healthy for you to do.
