I was talking to Bob on Sunday and he was asking me about marriage. For some reason he said something like, "Well, if I'm not married in 5 years, I'm grabbing you and we're going to Vegas." The more and more I thought about it, the more I got offended. I thought, "**** no! I'm not waiting until I'm 31-32 for this guy--that I happen to love--to decide that he's going to marry me rather than be alone." I'm not saying "Let's get married now." I'm not even suggesting it. Because damn it he should know already. In two years, he should know already if he could see a life with me or not. Damn it, if I can't then atleast tell me so I can pick up what's left of my twenties and get going. Am I nuts or what?

Sounds to me like he was feeling you out regarding marriage and didn't realize that his comment could be taken somewhat insulting. Sounds to me like he's interested in marrying you.

My perception of the comment is that it sounds like he doesn't believe you are the one. When I read the first 2 sentences my initial thought was that Bob was a guy you knew and he was trying to be humorous. My guess is he's still waiting for Ms. Right and if she doesn't come within 5 years then you will do.

It sounds like you want to marry him, but it sounds like he hasn't decided if he wants to get married at all yet, or maybe that he doesn't see you and he as being a couple. Does he know that? If he does, find out why he wants to wait on, what the deal is. Make sure he knows (not by hints, but by actually saying) that you're up for that level with him.

is he your boyfriend? If so, then he is telling his intentions with you. He wants to get married with you, that's why he said... I don't know why are you upset over a clear indication of his intentions with you.
Would you rather hear:
-Hell no, not in a million years would I wanna get married with you or with anyone.
or the ever popular
- I am in a point of my life where I don't know what I want

Tell him how you feel , if he still has that attitude then move on with your life . what about you if he gets married to someone else in 4 1/2 yrs? All that waiting for nothing , its not worth it.

Yeah, it sounds like this guy isn't gonna marry you until he finds out if another woman is gonna come along or not. Just doesn't sound right to me. If he loved you he would know right now.
