I am planning on getting my degree at the University of South Carolina. I know that it's a 36 hour course, so I suppose it depends on how strongly you pursue it. As for me, I plan on at least a couple of years.

Plan on one year for sure, and possibly two, depending on how focused you can be. Some schools in Canada offer masters programs partly through distance and on-line and in the evenings so you could possibly do it, or at least part of it, while continuing to work.

I hope this information helps.
