You just need to learn how to manage your time better. Also try taking a different combination of classes. For example if you are taking an english class, you know it will be a lot of reading and essay writing. Instead of taking another intense reading/writing class, try to take something like math which doesn't require much reading. It is all about balance. It is really hard now, freshman year sucks. But don't worry you'll figure out a system that works for you soon

The first year sucks, but once you get into the groove of doing your work, it will be better. Also, you are still in the crappy first year classes. Once you start taking CE classes, you will enjoy learning, and it gets easier as you go since everything builds on each other.

Then you'd better get a summer job and think hard before you go to college because that's all you do is homework and projects, unless you pick a fun major like computer science.

Try to get your classes scheduled so that you don't have class on Friday, and try to get into ones that start later in the morning. It gives you a long weekend, time to sleep in, but you get everything piled on you in 3 or 4 days really heavy.

Freshman year is the toughest. They try to winnow out the chaff. Stick with it and you'll find that it gets easier as you go on.

I've not had a problem with this. Of course, I do have the gift of natural intelligence, so I don't have to spend as much time studying....
