I have rust all over my firewall. What can I do to prevent the rust from spreading?

You should use RustSeal by KBS Coatings. That stuff works great. Clean and prep your firewall. After you do that, you are ready for the RustSeal. 2 coats will do the trick.

If you're not going to replace the firewall,,,,Rustoleum makes a paint that turns rust into a paintable surface and prevents it from spreading further,,,you can buy it pretty much anywhwere,,from Walmart to home depot or an autoparts store

ASFO you can get it at a building supply store. It's what's used on steel beams inside buildings to keep them from rusting. Will last for years and years.

sand the rust off and paint it either with the color you want or with primer.

If it is coming through the other side there's nothing you can do
