Regarless of what your beliefs are and if they match with mine will you put your money where your beliefs are? It is really not that hard. Will you not support organizations or people that you do not agree with? Your purchasing power does hit people where it counts in the wallet. They really do not care how we feel, but when we do not buy they care. Some people think we cannot live that way, but yes we can there are always tons of places for americans to spend their money.
What do you think and what do you skip because of beliefs? It can be anything, a charity, a corporation, a star in a movie or anything else. You have choices you can go with a neighborhood small buisness or another company. You are teaching your kids what you believe. Let them go without.
What do you avoid or what will you avoid? You have economic power if not other.

I do it all the time. My most recent protests have been not supporting The Lego or Jockey Underwear companies-they have moved their operations to Mexico.

I don't go see certain movies just because everyone else does. If they have a negative message or one that conflicts with my values system, no I don't go.

My most recent one is Walmart. I read that they opened up a Communist office in one of their stores in China and are bringing unions to its 60 stores in China, but it won't let U.S. workers unionize. So I don't shop there.

I've written countless letters and emails to companies that are not socially responsible.

I am and I do ; right down to a well known charity I once thought was on the up & up. Even tho the cause was valid ( Katrina ) , I went out of my way to channel a small donation thru another organization . I do that with many things that advocate causes or lifestyles that seem to harm our society ; right down to a hand-full of actors ; actresses and a few "so-called" comedians whose statements harmed our troops and gave aid & comfort to the enemy . Disappointing as it was to hear some of my favorites boost their egos while our troops are dodging bullets - I vow to never watch them on film or elswhere . Of course their private lives are their own-but in another time , another place, they'd have been charged with treason . When it comes to our troops and coalition forces in harms way -it doesn't take much to know that you don't give aid and comfort to the enemy with hate-mongoring against our country . . I know others who feel the same way , and could not enjoy them on the big screen without a wave of nausea .
