The sound is half the fun. the horsepower is the other half Mazda's and Subaru's sound like airplanes Ferrari's sound like super bikes. All mufflers sound different, some have silencers. No matter what you do you need an exhaust, or any up grades are pointless. some duel exhaust are a little quieter, but for the horsepower with a little sound. A turbo is best, for the serious type. Turbos are much quieter then all motor cars, but much more expensive and with a good set up, your friends and foes will focus on your blow-off valve and tires screaming, rather than your exhaust.

The best way to fix a 12 year old Honda. Is drive over to a Honda Dealer and pick out a new Civic Si full factory warranty almost 200hp motor. Great sound system premium gasoline please. and your windshield will look transparent tires will grip the road and your wallet will be much lighter. But Hey! you'll look marvelous! Modify an old engine and KA'BOOM

buy a couple of hamsters to run around on a wheel connected to the engine,,,,that should make it go alot faster than it goes now
