I got pregnant the next month. The pill is out of your system in 2 days, that's why women get pregnant when they skip 1 or 2 pills.

I was on Tri-levlen for 10 years and got pregnant at 27 after being off them for 2 weeks.
But apparently, that's highly irregular. I had to argue with the Dr to get a pregnancy test and he said that he'd never seen anything like it in the 20 years he'd been practicing.
Then after being on the pill again for 3 years, I was off for only 2 1/2 months when I became pregnant.
It usually takes 3 to 6 months for a woman to return to normal ovulation after stopping Lo/Ovral.

After going off the pill, my husband and I waited one month before trying to concieve. Once we started trying I got pregnant right away. I had been on the pill for 8 years. I am 32. I dont recongnize the name of the pill your wife was on but normal pills with progesterone and estrogen you can get pregnant right away. I read on Yahoo Health that half of women get pregnant within 3 months, most women get pregnant within 12 months. If she was on the shot it said it could take 3-18 months. It didnt say how long for the patch but they suspect the same as the pill. And if she was on the mini pill (progesterone only pill), which was the last pill I was on, it said it does not delay pregnancy and that most women get pregnant within 6 months.

I conceived 2 times during my next ovulation and 1 time a month later. I've heard that you are actually more fertile right when you go off of the pill, but this may not be true for everyone or for every type of pill.

I was on ortho novum and concieved the same month I stopped taking with my 1st. If I were you, I'd stop taking now, to better ensure your 4 mo. schedule. Just be a bit careful till then. :o) I've had several friends that took a year after stopping the pill. Don't ever let your wife use the patch! Good luck and God Bless!!

I was on the pill for 6 years and it has taken me and my husband 18 months to get pregnant. Found out yesterday! there is hope and the more you think about it the less likely it will happen because of stress. have fun and remember that it will happen when it happens - good luck

Right away but that is not always the case. Also, if you want to be pregnant in 4 months time, I would suggest her going off of it now and just using condoms or other forms of b/c that do not effect her hormone levels for the next two months. Remember, there are other forms of b/c that do not effect the mother's fertility.
