It has already been pointed out that Italy was not a country in 1200 AD.
However, the Holy Roman Empire was still around. In 1197, King Hanry VI died. For the next ten or so years, there was a fight for power between two brothers. They were Philip of Swabia and Otto IV of Brunswick.
Among their many titles were "King of the Romans" and "King of Sicily"

If I recall correctly, Italy was not unified politically, after 1200, until the 19th Century, by a formidable chap by the name of Garibaldi.
