Ok i just checked my email and it said i had like 33 in the inbox that were un read. Well All the emails were from Y!As and they were all chosen best answer emails. but i went through and there were 3 questions i actually had best answer for and the rest the emails were just like repeats of those three chosen best answer emails... did this happen to any one else!? Why did Y!As send me that many of the same 3 emails for being chosen for best answers? It was just really weird...it never happened before to me...

i go to check my mail and i see that i got a best answer for 40 questions.....YAY!!!!!!!!!! but i open it to find the email ive read dozens of times before..........BOO.

Same here! I recieved 35 emails for a best answer for 3 questions. The thing is that I was chosen a few days to a week ago for those questions, but never got any email about them at that time. I'm wondering if maybe there was a hold up of sorts in the Yahoo Answers' email system, and now that it's been taken care off we're getting multiple messages instead of the one. That's just a guess though, I don't know if the program really works like that or not.
But yes, it happened to me as well (and for a moment I really wondered if I HAD recieved 35 best answers before thinking it was too good to be true), and this has never occurred before. I hope they fix it...

It was indeed happening to everyone, and it took me a half hour to identify and delete them. Apparently there was a bug in a software revision that caused some piece of code that should have examined the "best answerer has been e-mailed" bit to not do so (or, failed to set it). If you are running code on many processors, as Yahoo obviously is, having all of the processors keep track of what each of the other ones is doing is a major headache. (Unfortunately, I did not score points for all the Best Answer messages!)

Same thing is happening to me! At first I thought OMG EVERY answer must be chosen as best! lol It is getting annoying having to delete so many!

yeah, it happened to me too. i had 1 best answer, 16 emails in my inbox, 1 was an advertisement for levis, 1 was a verification that i did a job online, and 14 were for that best answer. it is because they sent 1 email for each vote i got for it.

We're all getting them, and I noticed that before this, I wasn't getting any best answer emails at all for a couple of days, though I had best answers that showed up in my recent activity.

I dont know, but its like going physco. I opened up my email and it showed i had like 10 best answers.I was like totally freaking out, i was like omgsh thats really awesome.Then to my disappointment they were old lol.But yeah i dont know, it should be fixed though.

It's happening to everyone! We just have to wait for them to fix the problem. I just posted this problem in the forum and they're fixing it right now. I guess the only thing we can do now is to just delete them! It must be a glitch.

i know. me too. I think its a glitch in their system since they are trying a new format. hello, if its broke don't fix it. go back to the old way so I don't get 100 emails about the same thing!!!!
