Use toilet tissue with plain water. Never user chemicals of any kind on a laptop screen, especially ammonia.

Never use Windex or other alcohol based products. Get some anti-static screen cleaner like Kensington or other brands. Wipe with a microfiber towel.

you can use a "windex" like product that DOES NOT have AMMONIA in it like the cleaners for cars w/ tinted windows...

Walmart, Auto Zone, O'rielly's, etc carry these...Usually the one they ALL carry is made by Armor All...Be sure to get the FOR TINTED WINDOWS variety since it doen't have ammonia...Ever see a car w/ purple tinted windows? They used an ammonia based product to clean their windows....hehehehe...

I've used the Armor All for years and never had a prob...Expect to pay around $2.50+tax for a 12oz sprayer bottle.

You can also use these non-ammonia based products to safely clean your computer monitor, or your TV screen....

I got a special cloth from ebay, you just wipe it and use no liquids - it's fab, type in daisy lcd cleaning cloth and it should bring back the result for you - bargain at 1.99 (I think-ish)
