I always considered her a friend and I still think her pictures in our high school yearbooks are of the most beautiful girl I've ever known, but, to be honest, I really don't know her all that well. I loved her (love her?) from afar. I still think about her. She has green eyes--special lady :)

I would think that maybe its fate that brought you two together after 25 yrs. I would ask her out and get to know her. Maybe you guys were always supposed to end up together.

Say, "How are your husband and kids?" Statistically she probably has them by now.

That's the problem with crushes and "love from afar" - they aren't reality based. I wish you had taken the chance to speak with her back in high school. Then you might have had an inkling whether or not you were compatible.

In any event, you have wasted 25 years over a dream vs. reality. I bet if you DO run into her, she could never live up to the fantasy you have created.

Sorry to be harsh, but I believe in living in the present, and not the past.

Good luck!

If she (or in my case, he) cared so little for my interest, why should I pay any attention to him now? I would ignore him

so, you haven't run into her yet? Play it by ear and just let your heart do the rest.
