Yes - I really like it its much better for voice and video than MSN.
I do use MSN more as most of my contacts are on MSN so that gets used more.

Occasionally; but it's aim for a different usage; primarily voice - with the chat as an extra while MSN is the other way round.

I do!..The best thing about it is if you use Skype In, you can talk to someone with both of you using your own cordless phone landlines.
I talk from the UK to a person in the USA, I have a Skype-In number local to them in the USA with all calls to that number diverted/forwarded to my home landline (cordless phone). It's free for them to ring this number local to them from their landline. I pay just over 1p per minute for the cost of the call from this Skype-In number to my UK cordless phone landline....I don't need Skype or my computer on.
You can get a Skype-In number in the USA from Skype's website. Costs about £6-£8 every three months. There are soooooo many Skype-In numbers available in the USA, you are guaranteed to be able to choose one which is local to the person in the States with whom you want to talk.
Two people either side of the Atlantic talking on cordless landline phones for just over 1p /minute can't be bad!

I have been using skype for several years now. It is indeed the best free telephony service and it has been around for quite a while.

I thought it was cr*p. When I was trying to chat to my friend in Australia, it used to go all blocky, we could never figure out where the webcam was, or it it had one.
We now use Msn or yahoo im.

No I don't. I use Gizmo project - because it's all free.
I find the quality plenty good enough, and there is plenty to customise.
give it a go.
