What many people don't realize is that Nixon was an excellent president. The media gets all over him for the whole Watergate thing such that people overlook all the good things he did. He helped ease tensions between the United States and China, got American troops out of Vietnam, and did more for the space program than any other president. These are just three things off the top of my head.
Don't let the media fool you into thinking he was some kind of evil man or something. They're just out to villify a Republican in any way they can.

Nixon would win as so many Democrats would vote for him. Considering that Nixon is deceased, he could never take office, therefore effectively denying either man from becoming President.

By all rights, it should be Bush. He did everything Nixon did, took Watergate one step further, and even participated in an illegal war, which he lied amply about (WMDs -- what a laugh). However, I don't think people are as politically astute as they were a couple decades ago, so I really don't know.
