yes! i made them for dessert last week! they were delicious!

here's a very easy recipe. you can use canned peaches, but the taste is MUCH better with fresh peaches.

peel 3 or 4 peaches and cut into quarters. pour a little (very little) orange juice, a few tablespoons of brown sugar and a tablespoon or two of butter into a skillet over low heat. stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar melts into the butter (be sure to spoon the mixture over the peaches constantly). optionally, you can add in a few tablespoons of grand marnier or some other liqueur (peach schnapps?) at the very end, after the mixture thickens and bastes the peaches (about 5 min). be sure not to turn the heat up too high or the sugar will burn.

i served this over a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a thin slice of pound cake, with a few fresh raspberries and strawberries on the side for contrast in texture and taste. absolutely delicious!

Yummy and so easy to make: melt a stick of butter over medium heat and add about 1/4 cup of brown sugar; stir until it's almost to that thick Carmel state (probably about 10 minutes), then add about 6-8 peeled, sliced fresh peaches (make sure they're not too ripe) and cook for another couple of minutes; put over top of vanilla ice cream! YUMMY!

Yes you heat sugar in a heavy pan (I like a cast iron skillet) til it melts and turns light brown. Then you add your peach halves or sliced peaches ( either canned or fresn) stir them till coated. You can pour them over ice cream while hot. You can let them cool. Expierment and find how you like them. You can also use pares.

Yes! Last time I tried it I couldn't get the peach halves off the stone - normally it's fine. Great with crême fraiche or even Greek yogurt - but don't forget a dash of liqueur!
