Get an over the counter chemical peel system. It is supposed to gently exfoliate the top layer of skin and make it look fresher. Go to Wal Mart in the face/ beauty aisle

you know i used to have blemishes but i bought neutrogena visibly even cleanser and now my skin is totally clear and even toned. ive been using the product religiously every morning and every night for two years tho. it is a hell of a lot cheaper than proactive too. i went to visit my step sister (she works at a spa) and aesthetician said i have very nice skin. neutrogena has a whole line of the visibly even products, however if your blemishes are very very serious i would go see a dermotologist.

If you're an adult (which it sounds like you are) then you need to get something that has a DHT blocker in it. This helps with hormonal acne that's not due to failing to wash your skin. DHT blockers are usually botanicals, so find a natural product with saw palmetto or licorice in it. There are a lot of them out there nowadays.
