You said your husbands health is good...but has he given a sample of his semen to the Doctor for a sperm count lab test? (Just checking) Also, does your husband masturbate often? That can often cause a low sperm count. Lastly, after sex, don't get up for about an hour. Use a few pillows under your legs and relax for a good long time. Good luck

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now, so I understand where you are coming from. Fortunately, if you have no problems, the dr. won't prescribe you fertility meds. anyway, because it seems that it would be unnecessary. Are you sure that you are having sex at the right time in your cycle? You might want to buy ovulation predictor kits (you can buy them at the dollar store) or a fertility monitor, so that you can be sure you are maximizing your chances each month. Also, talk to your doctor about your options.

Check out a popular book by the title "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" My sister in law that was having a hard time getting pregnant used the info in this book and it worked. She shared it with friends and it worked for them too.
It not only has advice on how to chart to make sure you are timing right but also vitamin advice to make sure you are healthy.
Good luck. I hope it works out for you and in one year from now you will be holding you 3 month old baby.

Layla, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

If everything is working for you, did you ever have a sperm count done on your husband? You should also check into eastern midicines and techniques. There are supposed to be many yoga positions that are supposed to increase your chances of conceiving after you and your husband have sex.

Sometimes infertility can be caused by a hormone imbalance. I've known several people, including my sister, have problems getting pregnant and had success using natural progesterone hormone cream.
I use Arbonne's natural hormone balancing creams, but you can get them at a health food store as well.
There's a really good website about it at:
http://www.johnleemd.com
An intro to natural progesterone cream is at:

The FAQ's about hormone creams is at:

Good luck!

Timing is everything. You need to figure out when you ovulate and have sex the day before and day of ovulation. You can try charting your basal body temps (www.fertilityfriend.com) to pinpoint ovulation or also try ovulation predictor kits.
