Sentimental value. I still have mine, just because it's so hard to let them go. I don't necessarily read them, I just pull them out every once in a while and reminisce. Especially since my tooth fairy left comic books for me instead of money.

Comics aren't just for kids. I think most comics are geared to more adult readers than young ones. I wont get rid of my collection. Every year it just keeps getting bigger. I often go back and read my favorites over and over again. Look at Stan Lee and then dare suggest that old people shouldn't be interested in comics anymore.

I have a couple of Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld comic books I got when I was a kid. Once in a while I get them all out and read them just for the fun of it. It reminds me of reading them while it rained outside. Besides, honestly, some comics aren't worth all that much even if they are old.

Maybe because it reminds them of the time when they got the comic and how they read the book a lot and how much it means to that person.

They may pass them on to their children to keep. It gets more valueable by the years. Or it can be like what the first person said, they may trully have a passion for them. I know that I'll be reading them 'til the day I die. 'Comic books are the instuction manuel to my life' -Feedback. I totally agree w/ him. I haven't had good role models, so I'd seek them out through comics.

Because believe it or not, some people actually enjoy this stuff and age makes no difference. Wouldn't you still look at porn even if you'd be well past your 70s?
It's just a preference, for some people, it's like sexual orientation. Can't let go of it. Follows you all your life.

Because they still like to read them...I mean, wouldn't you think? Besides, comics are worth next to nothing these days.

Because the warm fuzzy nostalgia people get from their old comic books is something that money just can't buy.
