I have cable internet and as well i connected a wireless router. My laptop gets awesome signal but it won't access to the internet. So I also connected to modem and same problem

Sounds like a configuration problem. Have you tried connecting the laptop directly to the router with a network cable?

Without being in front of the computer it's almost impossible to diagnose the problem. You also did not provide many details to the problem. Kind of like, "My car sounds funny, what's wrong?"

Your problem won't be solved here. Contact your internet service provider and schedule an appointment for a technician to come out. Or call your local computer company who does house-calls.

Hmm... do you have the network connections set up for wireless network? also, you don't want to have both hooked up at the same time.
It's always hard to give you an accurate response over the net like this, cause I can't see how you've got yourself hooked up..

unplug the router and the cable modem.. plug the cablemodem back in, wait til it sets up, then plug in the router, wait for it to boot up, then try again

Plug it in and try renewing the IP address

go into your tcp/ip settings and set it up to obtain an ip address automatically. that should fix your problem.

maybe you arent close enough to the signal...sometimes mine will do it...it picks it up, just wont connect.
