When in an usual place that you have never been before,when lost what is so hard for a guy to ask for directions? Or wont admit that they are lost?

We are a stubborn breed. Men do not like to admit that they are wrong or that they need help!

This is the honest and ONLY answer that you will ever need.
Men don't mind asking for directions when they have exhausted the possibilities. Men (OK, the men in my family) are more in tune with east-west and north-south.
When we have gone too far past a logical point, we turn around and research. Men don't like to "give up" so quickly. It is not a pride thing or ego thing, it is just a matter of self reliance.
Women...Don't ever take this the wrong way. Men want to find where they are going. They like to be on time, most men do. but if a man waits a bit longer before asking directions, he is just trying to figure out the possibilities on his own and gain a sense of geography.
Really, it is that simple!

Very good question. I am sort of like that - not to the point where I will go aimlessly for hours but I tend to be hard headed and think I can find the place even though I know I have no sense of direction.

because we are never lost, we may not know where we are, or how to get where we are going, but eventually we will find a place we are familiar with and everything else was an explorative learning experience
