I have to do a descriptive narrative for my English class and I can't seem to pick out a topic. Any ideas? She usually picks out the topic, but is giving us free range on this one. Nothing disgusting please.

2. Tell about the main events of a year in your life
3. A story from the point of view of an animal whose mother was run over by a car
4. A story from the point of view of an immigrant girl who moves to the US and speaks no english
5. A story from the point of view of a tree and how lumberjacks are going to cut it down

these are just some ideas! just use your imagination!

I did one on a fish aquarium once that turned out pretty well. Lots of descriptive words like silvery bubbles, gliding fish,carpet of algae on the back glass that moved with the water current like a field of grass in a gentle breeze.

Brainstorm topics YOU are interested in, write them down, you MUST have some ideas, look them over and then narrow it down to something you can manage. You can do it!

Pick something you are already knowledgable about which makes it easier for you to write or give a speech.

What about a lonely house on a hill. You can describe it and imagine the things it has seen in it's life.
