Zidanes headbutt didn't do soccer any favours but unless you have the full storie we cant really comment can we?And the ridiculous dive by the Italian against the Aussies was disgraceful the free kick wasn't there ,you know it,i know it ,the world knows it and some how the refs thinks that it was a trip. Please get a grip refs, poor academy awards for the Italian as it was plain and simple the Aussie slide in and didn't touch him and the Italian guy dives knowing ref will award free kick if the dive looks good enough.WAKE UP PEOPLES ,COMPLETELY WRONG.GO AUSSIES YOU DID US PROUD

Ukraine advancing to the second round instead of Tunisia. On a Tunisian freekick headed for goal a Ukrainian player in the blocking wall raised his hand a knocked it away from goal. No call was made. That should have been a yellow card and penalty kich and perhaps Tunisia win 1-0. Later Shevchenko was in front of the Tunisian goal surrounded by 2 Tunisian defenders. In the attempt to evade them he kicked his own left heel with his right toe and tumbled to the ground. Neither Tunisian touched him on the play yet he was awarded a penalty kick from which he scored for his team to win 1-0 and advance to the second round.
In general I think the African teams, Australia and Japan got the short end of the stick from the refs.

For me, the sending off of Zizou will always be the worst feeling.
FIFA is trying to crack down with heavier sanctions for diving and has tried the two referee pattern on the pitch or even a fifth linesman. I have no follow up on that, I read that before the World Cup even started.

diving, poor sportsmanship, unfair refereeing and the war between France and Italy fans..that war should have been over a long time ago..nothing can be done to change the result..Italy won,so congratulations..as to France,it is a winner too,but in its own ways and Zidane was,is and always will be a legend..because regardless of his headbutts,we can't deny that he has such amazing and remarkable football skills..somehow,stop that war already,it breaks my heart to know that some people still won't forgive Zidane even though he apologized for his harsh actions..please,forgive him..

In no particular order:
1. The refs were visually impaired
2. Diving, diving, and even more diving
3. headbutts, fly kicks, elbows, punchs
I have to say the thing that aggravated me the most would have to Lucas Neil's challange on Grosso in the Aus vs Italy match.

Play acting.
I think at least two or three crucial games were decided by the referees' decisions that were swayed by play acting. Its because the referees didn't do enough to get things under control that the situation got so bad.

It had to be the dumb refereeing, I mean all the yellows and reds were outrageous. The refs should have controlled the matches better by giving yellow cards for diving.

A lot of bad things happened this World Cup, it was an awful tournament, but the two worst moments for me are Grosso scoring against Germany in the 119th minute, and Trezeguet missing his penalty by a few centimeters in the final...tragic!
