With tonights preseason game being played in Oakland, coach Marinelli thought it would be good disipline for the team to travel to Oakland (from Detroit0 ON THE DAY OF THE GAME! That's a three hour time difference! The Game starts at 10 PM Eastern time and 7 PM Pacific time. So Detroit will just be starting the game when their usually just finishing it!

He might be crazy. But he also might be trying to toughen up a bunch of lazy *** football players that would rather sit at home and count their millions than go play the game that made them rich. The Lions finally have a coach that won't hold the players hands and be careful not to hurt any ones feelings. He came in and started stepping on peoples' neck and kicking ***. Some of the big name players won't stick around in a system ruled with an iron fist, but the ones that stay, would have earned their spot on the field with sweat and blood, and that is the kind of team I want.

Rod's a bit crazy, but he seems old school, and old school is all about being tough. The guy wants to CUT, not trade, but CUT two first round picks! He has the kind of craziness it takes to turn an organization around, assuming that organization WANTS to be turned around.
The Ford family won't own that team for long, there's no way. Toyota should buy the team and show Ford how to win Superbowls AND make money selling cars.

No. there is going to be a clean sheriff on the city after this season. The GM will pick somebody he feels constructive in being his coach. Marinelli has shown over the final 3 season that he's not any longer that guy or woman. First, the Ford's will announce the hiring of a clean GM. Then they'll announce the firing of their head coach and his entire team. Then they'll start up finding for a clean one. something comparable to what Parcells did in Miami. As for applicants for the hot head coach, i admire those adult men: a million. Russ Grimm- This adult men is warm. georgie, man! I've heard that what doesn't kill you.. phrase so many times. i was disappointed that the tigers lost two to the sox, but they will bounce back, which is much different from teams in the previous years.
