Really I'd like to know what the dangerous high end range is for all processors -- Is there a general tempurture that can be considered dangerous for all (most) processors -- or do the different processors, have different threshholds to how much heat they can withstand?

Pentium III Slot 1 500-866Mhz 80°C
Pentium III Slot and socket 933Mhz 75°C
Pentium III Slot 1 1Ghz 60-70°C depending on model
Pentium III Slot 1 1.13Ghz 62°C

160 is where u should know u have a problem
160 under load or idle
if its 160 farenheit idle, u have something screwedup
160 load means u should either get a new cooler
or something is wrong

put it in the oven on reg 9 for one hour when you try to take it out without gloves on and you burn your fingers it will be too hot
