After living here for a couple years, I've realized that if you don't speak Spanish fluently and clearly, people look at you weird here. Doesn't mean they don't speak English, most places in the city do, but understand that some places people refuse to speak English to you. Also, for some people, its more of a English and Spanish mix. Meaning, they'll say some words in English adn some in Spanish in the same sentence. Don't try to play the "this is america" card down here either, it will only get you distasteful looks.

It goes like this, stopped at a eatery, Ocean Blvd, they were having an employee meeting. No One spoke English, all Spanish.

You dont have to know Spanish..but it will help down there....Alot of spanish speakers. But still a beautiful place to be.

i think spanish is 2ed languge there but its perferd in employment that u know spanish
