Most Republicans are too anamored with Bush and the neoconservatives to be truly independent office seekers.
As much as I like Pat Buchanan, in the end he's too conservative in a few more areas than I'm comfortable with for him to be president.
Nader, while idealistic, is a bit too idealistic, so much so that it would impair his ability to be a realist.
I've been observing Al Gore since the 2000 election, and he appears to have become genuinely involved in civics (his tv channel, his prodigious work on global warming), and I don't believe him to be corrupted by Washington politics. He even said on Larry King Live that he would NOT want to be president, because he thought that being Washington corrupts a man. I think it's those unwilling presidents (George Washington, etc.) who served most admirably. While Al Gore is no George Washington, he's not a schemer and genuinely wants to help his country heal fom the past 6 years of turmoil. In essence, he's the best chance we have in 2008.

No, we do not all agree that Bush is a doofus..
This is largely an opinion held by other doofuses...
As to who should be the next US President..
I would like to see Steve Forbes as president but it will
never happen..
Perhaps Condi Rice or Guilliani would be acceptable..

I for one do not agree that our President is a doofus.
What I believe is worthy of the doofus distinction is people that can only point fingers and does absolutely nothing constructive to contribute to making the world a better place.
So Doof... errr sorry, JusticeMan a personal injury attorney????
Bahahahahahahahaha... that says it all.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say anybody that gives a crap about the real people of this country, not the billionaires and near-billionaires.
I know, it will never happen, we'll put another republicrat or demopublican in there. But what the hell, let me have my dream. It's all I'll ever have.
Meet the new boss, Same as the old boss. Yes, we WILL get fooled again!

I agree he is a doofus. Do what we did in 2000 and re-elect Al Gore.

should be a democrat, republicans have had their chance and cost us plenty. Lives, high cost of everything and their ineptness. Maybe Hillary Clinton or John Kerry I wouldn't mind Al Gore running again.
