Brazil is a great place to visit. You have the northeast with the beaches with clear water and white sands, the south - with the big cities - RIO, Sao Paulo and the North- with the Amazon. The food there is amazing!!!!

As a male, you will probably have a good time, esp. on the beaches and/or on the Amazon River.
As A Catholic country, you would think it would be safe, but it is a very macho country. Men kill their wives and rarely suffer any penalties. (Be sure you are not dating married women.) Children on the streets are often killed by police-for-hire contracts.
On a more positive note, there is no road rage. Sao Paulo is fun for dancing (bossanova && samba, etc.) You'll see the best soccer in the world. The bars(paderias) are famous for beer and girls who love to kiss.

I have never been to Brazil, but I have a lot of friends from there and they are great people. They have told me it is so beatiful there. Are you planning a trip to Brazil? I think it would be fun to go there, just be careful.
