Yes and no. The plastic strip is embedded into the $20 bill and higher to prevent counterfieting by photocopying. Hold the bill up to a strong light and you can see it. Use a magnifying glass and youcan read the denomination across it.

The $1 strip is planned for the near future.

No there isn't. The plastic strips are only present in the redesigned bills, which started with the $100 bill and has been progressing down the denominations. Right now all bills have the plastic strip except the One Dollar bill, it has yet to be redesigned, but is the only one left.

The answer to your question is no there is not a plastic strip in the one dollar bill it is not big worth it to the gov.

there is but it shouldn't be noticeable that's how machines realize whats a dollar a 5, 10 and on
