i like it a little better than the DaVinci Code. I don't know...i guess it was written a little better. I liked the plot and the illustrations...namely the brands. The only thing I liked better in the Davinci Code were the cryptexes..those were so cool.

I love it. I think its very creative and shows a lot of thought and research into SOME history and a lot of art and architecture. That being said, what I dislike about the book is all of the controversy.
I'm not aware of any other works of fiction that have been subjected to such scrutiny and accusations of bending the truth. Its fiction. Creating a story that is not true is sort of the point.
But, soapbox aside, its a very good book. It sucked me right in and I'd read away an hour or two without even realizing it. I also really like the Robert Langdon character and his perspective on the world. I think he's a great protagonist.

I just finished it and really like it. Sure, there were many parts that were far fetched, but it written in such a way that I enjoyed temporarily suspending logic and buying into the fantastic scenarios the author described. I also like the fast-pace of the book. At times I even found myself shouting a the characters as I read - especially the scene where Langdon corners the Hashassian in the fountain, but doesn't shoot! Man! I was shouting, "shoot 'em, shoot 'em!"

As for the whole science vs the church theme, I didn't really give that any deep thought - too many variables to actually prove as facts.

Great story. Dan Brown weaves a good story. No wonder they made D.Code into a movie! Overall - a good read!

A very well-written novel. As a christian, I can tell you it is fiction but I didn't go into it (or DaVinci Code) looking for a secret history lesson. Dan Brown is certainly a talented author, a talented author of fiction.

I don't know yet. When is the movie coming out?I usually can't read books. The movie The Da Vinci Code was to me more about romance than conspiracy. I am more concerned as to what is really behind it all not who is trying to hide it. Jesus often kissed Mary on the hand. They held hands often as she accompanied him from town to town. There are stories that Mary was a bit of an entrepreneur as well.

It was written well and was very clever but I found the ending to be a bit overly dramatic. Good read nevertheless.
