A pregnancy test tests for your hormone levels to see if you're pregnant. If you're not that far a long the test can be negative because your hormone level isn't high enough yet. Go to the doctor's and find out for sure. Or you can try again in about 5-6 days and that should be more accurate. Good luck!

Absolutely it can be wrong! The pregnancy test measures the pregnancy hormone in your urine. if you're not producing a lot of it right now (which you usualy don't really early on), it'll show up really faint or negative. There are false negatives. Take me as an example! I swear I took 15 pregnancy tests trying to determine if I was pregnant. Most of the first 13 were negative or had really really really faint lines (that could be confused with shadow lines that occur after you let a negative test sit for 10 minutes). It took me 1 1/2 months to get a positive result that was apparent. Even then, it took me 3 months to get a bright colored test!
Your symptoms could go either way (positive or negative). It just depends on the woman. With me, I swear I didn't feel or my body didn't show me that I was pregnant until I started to throw up at 8 weeks.
Hope this helps!

Yes they can be incorrect, in the same way that the pill is only 99.9% effective, pregnancy tests have an error rate. Many packs will give you two tests, and you take one a week after a negative result if you still do not get your period. Honestly, it may just be a shift in hormones that has you hungry and could be blood sugar issues causing the dizziness. I would suggest trying to keep your mind occupied until your period date passes. Hope this helps!

yeah sure it can be wrong, i took mine about a week before my period was supposed to start, it came back negative then I tried again two days later and sure enough, there was a very faint line. So I'm about 6 weeks now. But you should check and make sure you aren't anemic because sometimes when you are you will eat a lot of certain things, because you r body is craving the nutrition. Just take another test in a week or two and defiantly see your doctor.
Good luck!!

The pregnancy tests CAN show an early pregnancy for some people if your hcg levels are particularly high at an early stage, However, for most people and for most accurate results, you must wait until at least they day your period is due. I suggest you test again with first morning urine on Sept. 2.
Also, if you are TTC, please remember to take prenatal vitamins every day, eat lots of fruits & veggies, and avoid all alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs/medications that could hurt the pregnancy! Good luck!

yes it can but you need to take it after you miss your pd. that is the only way that it is going to really tell you. Just b/c you are hungry all the time might mean that you are hitting a growth sprout. So if you don't get it by the first of the month then take another one. The test can only lie when it is a no but if it is a yes then you are.

You can't take a home pregnancy test until after you missed your period. The urine tests can have false negative readings, so if it comes out negative you still need to call your doctor to get a BLOOD test. You might want to check if you're hyperglycemic or something. Either way, you need to call your doctor, something is up with your body.

a negative test is more likely to be wrong than a positive.... Especially if you take it before your first missed period
I got negative test results for a month before I finally got a positive one....
You may ask a doctor about your symptoms... you could be suffering from low blood sugar or something like that....
Are your breasts tender? Do you have a more sensitive sense of smell? Do you ever feel nauseated?

Pregnancy tests are not meant to show a positive until after you have missed a period. Geez, I'm a man and even I know this!

way too early for a test... you should take it on the first day you period is due to start.
it is unlikely you will be feeling like you are preggers at this time even if you are... the hormones haven't had a chance to kick in yet.
sounds more like you have a blood sugar problem... go to a doctor if it carries on for too long.
